Pray for the Sick

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence.  Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits.  May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts.  We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed.   Amen

Please remember all of our ill and deceased members of the Knights of Columbus family. If you know of a Brother Knight or a family member who is ill, about to undergo an operation or is in the hospital, email us at GrandKnight@kofc13307.org or use the form below. This will enable us to include them each month in our collective prayers. Please let your family members know that we as a Council need to be informed if you are ill or in the hospital.

Sickness is a part of life, from the common cold to the incurable disease. Death is also a part of life, a path that we all must take. For the sick and deceased Knights, family members, council brothers, all who face these tough roads, please take the time to include prayers for them.

Don't forget about your sick council brothers or their families. Try to visit a brother Knight or family member who may be hospitalized, living in an extended care facility or homebound. Pray the Rosary with the person. Offer to assist family members of a hospitalized Knight by driving them to the hospital for a visit. Offer to stay with the homebound Knight or family member while caregivers go out for shopping, a movie or some other activity. Send a get well card to a Knight.

The death of a loved one can be devastating for a family. At such times, Knights can help ease the suffering of the family of deceased members by offering their love and support. Charity is the first and greatest of the Order's four principles. By attending the service for a deceased Knight of a Knight's family member, we are showing the fraternity that is an integral part of the order.
